Slow Cooker 4-Ingredient Sweet Chili Glazed Meatballs
This is an easy dump-and-go appetizer with a sticky, sweet, mildly spicy glaze.
Ingredients
- 1 bag (26 oz) frozen fully cooked homestyle meatballs
- 1 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1/2 cup grape jelly
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
Optional garnish: sesame seeds and sliced green onions
Instructions
1. Add the frozen meatballs directly to the slow cooker. No need to thaw.
2. In a medium bowl, stir together the sweet chili sauce, grape jelly, and soy sauce until smooth.
3. Pour the sauce over the meatballs and stir gently to coat.
4. Cover and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours or on HIGH for 2 hours, until heated through and glossy.
5. Stir once or twice during cooking if convenient.
6. Serve warm with toothpicks, or spoon over rice for a meal. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
Tips
- For more heat, add a spoonful of sriracha or a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- Apricot preserves or orange marmalade can replace grape jelly for a different fruity note.
- Keep the slow cooker on WARM for parties so the glaze stays loose and shiny.
- Stir gently near the end to avoid breaking up the meatballs.
